Radia is built privacy first. Your photos and skin profile are used to power your analysis and routine, nothing else. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
Radia ("Radia", "we", "us") helps you read your skin and build a cosmetic skincare routine. This policy explains what we collect, what we do with it, and what we never do. Plain language, because that is the whole point of the app.
Your selfie (biometric data). A photo of your face is biometric information, and we treat it that way. You consent before any capture. The photo is sent over an encrypted connection to our backend, which passes it to an AI vision service (Anthropic) that returns cosmetic appearance scores. The image is processed in memory and is not persisted on our servers or theirs, and Anthropic does not train on API traffic. Only the resulting numbers come back to your device.
Your skin data. Scores, your routine, and your streaks are stored on your device.
Your photo journal (on-device only). The photo journal is a daily-photo habit feature, and it is separate from the scan. When you save a journal photo, it is written only to your own device, inside the app's protected storage. Journal photos are never uploaded to our servers or to any third party. You can delete any photo, or delete all of them at once, from the delete-all control in Profile. Deleting the app also removes them. Because these photos never leave your device, they are not "collected" under Apple's App Privacy definitions.
Account information. If you create an account, our authentication provider (Clerk) stores your email and, if you use Sign in with Apple or Google, the identifier those services return. We use this only to sign you in and to sync your subscription.
Subscription status. Purchases are handled by Apple. Apple tells us only whether your subscription is active. We never see your card or payment details.
Product analytics (optional). If analytics is enabled, we record anonymous usage events about app flow, for example that a scan happened or which screen you reached, to improve the app. These events never include your selfie, your score, or any biometric data.
We do not require your real name, phone number, or precise location to use Radia.
Your selfie is not retained at all: it exists only for the moments it takes to analyze it. Your skin scores, routine and journal photos remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app. Account information held by our sign-in provider is deleted when you delete your account.
Images are sent over encrypted connections and processed in memory. On-device data, including journal photos, sits inside the app's protected storage container. No system is perfect, so if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us and we will act.
Radia is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age in your region if it is higher, and we do not knowingly collect their data. The app asks for your age at sign-up and does not permit use under 13.
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
