Security & data protection

Your skin is personal.
We treat it that way.

A selfie of your face is sensitive data. Here is exactly how Radia protects it — in plain English, no security theater.

Last updated: 2026

1. Our security commitment

Radia is built privacy-first. We collect the minimum we need to give you an accurate analysis, we never sell your data, and we treat your face photos as the sensitive, biometric-adjacent information they are. Security is not a feature we bolt on — it shapes how the product is built.

2. Encryption everywhere

Your data is protected both while it travels and while it rests:

  • In transit. All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted with industry-standard TLS (HTTPS). Nothing moves in the clear.
  • At rest. Your account data and photos are stored encrypted at rest on managed, access-controlled infrastructure.

3. Your photos stay yours

Photos are the heart of Radia, so they get the most care:

  • Your photos are used to generate your skin analysis and Glow Score — nothing else.
  • We do not sell your photos, and we do not use them to train models without your explicit, opt-in consent.
  • You can delete any photo, and your entire account, from inside the app at any time. Deletion removes your images from active storage.
  • We only ask you to upload photos of yourself. Please don't upload anyone else without their clear consent.
Plain-English promise: your face never becomes someone else's product. Your photos exist to serve your routine, and you stay in control of them.

4. Accounts & access

You sign in with Sign in with Apple or Google, so your password is handled by providers you already trust — we never see it. Internally, access to systems holding user data is restricted on a least-privilege basis to the people who genuinely need it.

5. Infrastructure

Radia runs on reputable, SOC-audited cloud and backend providers rather than servers we hand-roll ourselves, so your data sits behind their hardened, continuously monitored infrastructure. We keep our dependencies current and patch promptly. As we formalize our security program, we will publish our subprocessor list and any third-party attestations here.

6. Your data rights

Wherever you live, we aim to give you full control. In line with regulations such as GDPR and CCPA, you can:

  • Access and export the data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Delete your photos and your account.

For the full detail on what we collect and why, see our Privacy Policy.

7. Responsible disclosure

If you believe you've found a security vulnerability, we want to hear from you. Email security@radia.app with the details and steps to reproduce. We commit to investigating good-faith reports promptly and will not pursue legal action against researchers who act in good faith, avoid privacy violations, and give us reasonable time to fix the issue before disclosing it.

Note: Radia provides cosmetic skincare guidance only. It is not a medical device and does not store or process data as a regulated health record.
